At Northland Volkswagen, the 2026 Volkswagen Jetta offers Calgary drivers a compact sedan focused on fuel economy and technology. This four-door model seats five passengers and provides 399 litres of cargo space. With three available trims and standard driver assistance features, the Jetta handles daily commutes across Calgary and highway travel throughout Alberta.
For 2026, the Jetta maintains its specifications from the 2025 model year. This includes the 1.5 TSI engine with 7.2 L/100 km combined fuel economy, an 8-speed automatic transmission, and standard Travel Assist technology. The Digital Cockpit interface and comprehensive safety systems continue to equip all trim levels.
The Jetta's front end showcases LED reflector headlights with LED daytime running lights. An illuminated light line runs horizontally across the grille opening. Window surrounds come finished in chrome on Trendline and Comfortline, changing to black on Highline. Eight paint options are available, including Pure White, Pyrite Silver Metallic, Alpine Grey, and Monterey Blue Pearl. Wheels start at 16 inches with Kiwano alloy designs on Trendline, moving to 17-inch Madrid wheels on Comfortline and 18-inch Phantom wheels on Highline. The rear features LED taillights with an illuminated light strip. The sedan measures 4,738 mm long, 1,799 mm wide excluding mirrors, and 1,465 mm tall on a 2,686 mm wheelbase.
The cabin includes a leather multi-function heated steering wheel with touch controls across all models. Trendline uses cloth seating with manual six-way driver seat adjustment. Comfortline upgrades to leatherette with power-adjustable driver seating. Highline features leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, and heated outer rear seats. Rear seating folds 60/40 with a centre armrest on Comfortline and Highline. Cargo space behind the rear seats totals 399 litres. Comfortline and Highline include interior ambient lighting with 10 colour options. All trims feature dual-zone electronic climate control.
The 1.5 TSI turbocharged four-cylinder engine delivers 158 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque. All trims use an 8-speed automatic transmission with start/stop system and regenerative braking. Natural Resources Canada rates fuel consumption at 7.2 L/100 km combined, with city ratings of 8.2 L/100 km and highway ratings of 5.9 L/100 km.
Speed-sensitive power steering operates across the lineup. Comfortline and Highline add electronic differential lock (XDS). Driving Profile Selection on upper trims adjusts throttle and transmission response. ECO driving mode supports efficiency on all models.
The 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system supports wireless App-Connect with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Trendline includes Volkswagen Digital Cockpit with an 8.0-inch instrument cluster. Comfortline and Highline upgrade to Digital Cockpit Pro with a 10.25-inch configurable display and satellite navigation. Audio systems range from four speakers on Trendline to six speakers on Comfortline. Highline uses the Volkswagen Premium Audio System with six speakers plus subwoofer.
The myVW mobile app offers remote access and vehicle health monitoring for three years. Comfortline adds wireless charging, SiriusXM satellite radio, and voice control. KESSY keyless access with push-start button equips Comfortline and Highline. Front Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking and pedestrian detection is standard. Side Assist provides active blind spot monitoring with rear traffic alert across all trims. Travel Assist on Comfortline and Highline includes adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, lane assist, and emergency assist. Light Assist automatic high-beam control features on upper trims. All models include a rearview camera with static guidance lines. Front and rear Side Curtain Protection with front side airbags protects passengers throughout the lineup.
Trendline starts the lineup with LED lighting, heated front seats, cruise control, and 16-inch Kiwano alloy wheels. Comfortline introduces a Rail 2 Rail power sunroof, 17-inch Madrid wheels, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, and leatherette seating. The Sport Package for Comfortline adds 18-inch Phantom black alloy wheels, black exterior mirror housings, black window surrounds, brushed stainless steel pedals, and Digital Cockpit Pro. Highline tops the range with 18-inch Phantom alloy wheels, leather seating, ventilated front seats, and heated front and outer rear seats. Highline includes power-adjustable heated mirrors with memory function and satellite navigation.
